Dr Laura Lee (PhD, MMus, FHEA) is a creative practitioner with an interdisciplinary approach to the arts, music, and collaboration. Laura is passionate about building conversations in academia, the creative industries and the arts world and is a practice-based researcher. This research, through her University of the Arts London accredited PhD, has built new approaches to music technology which blurs the lines between the studio and stage.
As an artistic researcher and popular musicologist Laura has held senior positions in academia, as Professor of New Media Technologies SRH, Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Course Leader for BA/BSc Music Composition and Technology at The University for the Creative Arts, Farnham. At SRH, UCA and BIMM Laura has lectured on the following courses: BA/BSc Music Composition and Technology, MA Popular Music Practice, BA Audio Design, MA Computing and the Arts, MA International Management - Creative Leadership and BA Creative Industries Management.
Laura is passionate about collaborative projects and facilitates mentoring and outreach projects with Ableton and UK music charity Forward 4 Wiz Trust. Laura is a guitarist in the band Parachute for Gordo and has toured in the UK and Europe with such festivals as ArcTanGent and Portals within the math, post and experimental rock music scene. She also leads Enid, a collective of artists, musicians and sound engineers.
